Why we’re excited to see it differently at IBC 2019

There’s a buzz of excitement in the air at Christy Media Solutions as our recruitment consultants get geared up to exhibit at IBC 2019 – the world’s most influential media, entertainment & technology show, which takes place 13-17 September 2019 at the RAI, Amsterdam.

As a global executive search & recruitment specialist in the broadcast media & entertainment industry, we’ve been a proud exhibitor at the 5-day event for over a decade. This year, you’ll find us in our usual spot –  Stand C29, Hall 6 .

With over 1,700 exhibitors across 15 halls and a staggering 50,000+ visitors each year, IBC offers an unrivalled networking opportunity for our recruitment team. As a leading provider of staffing solutions worldwide, we see the exhibition as a unique place to connect with our international clients and the best, brightest candidates in the media market, new and existing alike.

It’s also crucial for us, as media recruitment experts, to stay ahead of the curve and ensure we fully understand the ever-changing digital landscape and subsequently, the ever-evolving skill sets our clients need to help drive their businesses forward. IBC presents a vital opportunity for our recruiters to learn about the latest product releases, emerging technologies, industry trends and market insights from key speakers.

This year’s conference theme is “Consumers First: A New Era in Media”. It’s no surprise the media industry is constantly evolving, with major acquisitions such as Comcast’s recent takeover of Sky, brands becoming digital broadcasters, FAANG giants going head-to-head with Hollywood studios and SVOD platforms like DAZN offering more bang for your buck in sports content. Whilst the race is on to produce more engaging, immersive content for consumers, technology is rapidly advancing to deliver it with faultless OTT streaming quality, faster, anytime, anywhere.

IBC 2019 will unveil the world’s first working DVB-I demo for OTT, innovations in disruptive AI, VR, 5G, tourism & mobile newsgathering technologies as media and telecom companies join forces and a brand new Esports Showcase. Being a recruitment partner to Riot Games & Ginx Esports TV, we’re particularly looking forward to exploring the technical complexities of esports production vs. traditional sports broadcast and experiencing the live esports tournament too!

It’s free to attend the show if you register using our unique customer code  12529  before Friday 16th August 2019, via the  IBC website.

If you’re heading to IBC 2019, whether you’re looking to recruit fresh talent for your organisation or you’re a media professional looking for your next challenge, please pop by our stand to find out how we can help or complete the form below to arrange a meeting.

We look forward to seeing you there!
