Christy Media Solutions is recruiting an AV Manager on behalf of our client for a key Central London venue.
The role
You will take responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of AV services at the venue, working closely with clients, the venue team, management, warehouse colleagues and crew.
Responsibilities will include:
Understanding clients' event and technical requirements.
Preparing quotations, equipment lists and event specifications.
Coordinating equipment requirements.
Booking freelance crew and scheduling the venue's AV team.
Preparing RAMS, crew briefs and relevant event documentation.
Planning technical delivery from initial enquiry through to completion.
Supporting meeting room and day-to-day AV requirements.
Providing hands-on support across audio, lighting, video and hybrid events when required.
Supporting invoicing, reporting and event administration.
Maintaining accurate event and equipment information.
Building strong relationships with clients, venue stakeholders, suppliers and crew.
What we're looking for
You'll need previous experience within AV, live events, technical production or a venue-based production environment, alongside good practical knowledge of professional AV equipment and event production workflows.
You should be organised, comfortable managing multiple jobs simultaneously and confident communicating with clients, venue teams, suppliers, technicians and freelance crew.
The position would particularly suit someone starting out in management or looking to progress from a more technical career. You'll still need to be comfortable working on shows, but much of your focus will be on management, meetings, rotas, event coordination and supporting the sales function.
Working pattern
The role is based at a Central London venue. Typical hours will be a mixture of 08:00-17:00 and 09:00-18:00 , with occasional evening requirements and very limited weekend work. Event attendance will vary depending on the schedule and requirements of individual events.
