We are currently supporting an outstanding international technology leader within the mission-critical IT/AV technology space in the search for a Technical Project Manager / Solutions Specialist to join their growing US team!

This is a genuinely varied, hands-on, "many hats" technical position, offering end-to-end ownership of complex customer solutions, from initial technical discussions and solution scoping through to implementation and successful project delivery.

Far from a traditional administrative Project Management role, you'll act as a go-to technical resource throughout the customer lifecycle, combining technical expertise, solution development, customer engagement and project leadership.

You'll work directly with customers across complex, mission-critical environments, including Defence, Government, Oil & Gas, Finance, Utilities and Transportation.

The position would suit a technically strong, customer-facing professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving complex challenges and getting involved across multiple stages of the solution and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of customer projects from initial requirements through to successful implementation and handover
• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements, scope solutions and develop execution plans
• Review technical designs, system specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Coordinate technical delivery across internal engineering teams, customers and external stakeholders
• Support solution demonstrations, pre-sales technical discussions and proposals
• Remain hands-on with system staging, configuration, installation and troubleshooting where required
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, procurement and installation logistics
• Deliver technical training and support to end users
• Act as a key technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• Strong technical background across IT, AV, networking, systems integration or related technologies
• Experience taking ownership of technical solutions or customer-facing engineering projects
• Good understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DHCP, VLANs and network configuration
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions
• Comfortable working across both technical and commercial stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills
• Willingness to remain hands-on with technology rather than focusing purely on project administration
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including potential international travel

Desirable Experience

• Experience with KVM, AV-over-IP or other networked AV technologies
• Exposure to control room or mission-critical technical environments
• Experience supporting technical demonstrations and pre-sales activities
• Network switch configuration and advanced troubleshooting
• Previous responsibility for end-to-end technical project delivery
