Christy Media Solutions is working with a client seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Technician to join their team in Montreal.

This position offers the opportunity to work on advanced component-level diagnostics, repair, testing, and validation of complex electronic equipment while collaborating with engineering and production teams to improve product reliability and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electronic circuit and equipment failures.
• Perform advanced component-level fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Carry out high-precision soldering on through-hole and surface-mount components.
• Repair PCB traces and undertake micro-level interventions on multilayer PCBs.
• Conduct functional testing and validation following repairs.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
• Support production teams with complex technical issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives.
• Mentor and support the development of other technical team members.

Requirements

• DEC in Industrial Electronics, Programmable Electronics, Industrial Computing, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5–7 years of advanced component-level electronic repair experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret electronic schematics.
• Expertise in electronic diagnostics and failure analysis.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, and specialised test equipment.
• Knowledge of IPC quality, repair, and inspection standards.
• Functional French and technical English language skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
