Case Study: Sourcing a specialist UX Designer

We know how to deliver the best creative talent…

The Client

A world-renowned entertainment brand and Pay-TV broadcaster.

The Terms

Recruiting in competition with other agencies.

The Brief

Our client required a very talented User Experience Designer, with excellent creative and strategic vision, to produce innovative UX designs for a brand new, cutting-edge digital streaming platform.

This was a challenging recruitment drive to source contract candidates with previous experience of new product development and the full spectrum of digital media (online, streaming, on-demand, mobile, interactive and 10-foot TV sert interfaces), within a strict daily rate budget.

Our Approach

After defining the skill-set required, we searched extensively across our internal database of UX and UI professionals working within the digital, broadcast and media space.

We utilised industry specific job boards and our own advertising avenues that included our website and social media channels.  We focussed on attracting candidates with responsive UX design experience and the ability to demonstrate the thought processes behind their UX design decisions.

The Outcome

We placed the perfect candidate on an initial 3-month contract basis, which was subsequently extended 3 times due to his talent and excellent cultural ‘fit’.
