A recent survey of Pulse Umbrella contractors has revealed that:
- 85% of contractors would recommend contracting to a friend
- 72% are confident that there is continued demand for their services
- 56% say rates are remaining static whilst 16% have seen an increase and 28% a decrease in the last 12 months
Apparently the best thing about contracting is that the money is better than working as a permanent employee.
The survey respondents also revealed that the worst thing is having to find more work when a contract ends.
If you are a contractor working within broadcast, please get in touch and keep us updated as your contract end approaches. We have many contract roles that are not advertised on our website and we always check our database for suitable matches before advertising roles.
