New Appointment for Film London

Film London has announced the appointment of David Shepheard as their new Inward Investment Manager.  With more than a decade of experience, Shepheard will be working with the Inward Investment and Business Development team, headed up Helena Mackenzie.  He will be responsible for attracting inward investment into the UK by promoting London as a world-class production location.

Shepheard is a former Film Commissioner, and has previously formed and led Film Commissions and Media Development agencies at city, regional and state levels. With a deep understanding of the international government and commercial support mechanisms for developing the Creative and Media economy, he is now responsible for showcasing the city globally.  His remit also includes ensuring London remains film-friendly and is ready to accommodate domestic and international film, television and animation productions.

Adrian Wootton, Chief Executive of Film London and the British Film Commission says of the appointment,

“I am delighted David will be driving this work forward. His experience in this area will ensure we capitalise on London’s assets and deliver more investment into the capital, creating jobs and new opportunities for the benefit of the city.”
