A Video Implementation Engineer is required to join a leading media services company on a 6-12 month contract. As part of the Implementation team, you will deliver solutions that cover the end to end content delivery platform for clients, including major broadcasters, event venues and satellite teleports.
As Video Implementation Engineer you will be heavily involved in the pre-build stage, building and testing network equipment off-site, ensuring configuration is complete before putting together work packs for customers and Field Engineers and when required travelling to site to complete the physical installation. As part of your role you will also be responsible for coordinating customer meetings, producing related documentation / diagrams for all services that go over the media network and ensuring all required equipment is arranged for delivery to site.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for candidates with broadcast engineering experience who have been involved in physical implementation projects and have a background preferably in IP transmission along with network schematic drawing skills such as Visio. An understanding of contribution and/or distribution networks, encoders / decoders and DVB compression technologies is important as is an understanding of video over IP. Core networking skills with experience of designing and supporting Cisco/Juniper based networks are desirable and candidates must have knowledge of routing protocols. Previous experience racking equipment and wiring within a broadcast environment is also important.
