We're currently working with a successful TV and film production company that has a permanent opportunity for a Junior Post Production Engineer to join its talented team on a permanent basis.
As Post Production Engineer you will be responsible for monitoring and providing support to their Avid estate, file-sharing facility and storage solutions ensuring optimum performance across all systems. You will be managing assets, archiving or restoring video projects and providing support to the production and editing staff. In addition, your duties will also include fault-finding and repairing equipment and upgrading software as new editions are released.
To be considered for this role, candidates should have knowledge of Avid systems including: ISIS, Interplay, Media Composer and Airspeed, with any experience of Storage DNA, Content Agent or GV Summit being highly beneficial. A good understanding of IT networking and infrastructures, including servers and IP technology, is required alongside storage and file transfer knowledge. Experience of video codecs and formats or video / audio signals and processing would also be advantageous.
This role would suit candidates with previous experience of providing technical support to Avid suites as a Technical Assistant or Junior Engineer in a post production environment. Entry-level or graduates with a broadcast or post production technology degree (or equivalent) would also be considered.
