A Technical Manager is required for a unique and exciting opportunity with a high-profile broadcast client, to provide knowledge, expertise and the management of a small team responsible for sport OB's and the related graphics systems.
As Technical Manager, you will manage the rosters, development plans, reviews and general HR matters for your team of 8, whilst also playing an active role in the technical elements of the OB systems, graphics solutions, transmission of video and audio over IP and associated networks.
To be considered, you will have a proven background as an engineer specifically within broadcast IT Solutions and have also either worked in a managerial or team lead capacity. In addition to managing BAU topics, you will also be responsible for ensuring the correct equipment is fully functional and available, as well as take an active lead in all project-based work. This role is West London based, with flexible working patterns and you will be required to attend 1-2 OB's per month.
Specific technical requirements include:
Experience with On Air Graphics solutions (Viz/Unreal/Unity)
Understanding of AR/VR Graphics solutions
Understanding of SD/HD/UHD/MPEG-4 AVC /H264, MPEG-5 HEVC Video Standards
Understanding of Dolby E and Dolby Digital, Dolby ED-2 ac-4 Audio Standards
Knowledge of networks TCP/IP/UDP/RTP and VLAN configuration
