System Administrator

A System Administrator is required to join the growing team of a global, market leading broadcast organisation on a 3-6 month contract.

As Systems Administrator you will work with world class cutting-edge technology and be responsible for monitoring and supporting their broadcast critical infrastructure.

With a pro-active attitude you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and reliability of their infrastructure and globally deployed applications whilst providing support where needed to the Duty Operations Manager to manage broadcast critical outages.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally come from a System Administrator background or similar with demonstrable experience of:

- Administration and troubleshooting of Windows Server and UNIX/Linux servers
- LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VPN technologies
- Active Directory administration
- Virtualisation technologies such as; VMWare, Xen or Hyper-V

Candidates who are keen to learn or have experience of AWS or Google Cloud Platform would be highly regarded, as would Scripting skills with Powershell, Python, Perl, Bash etc and automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible or Chef.

This role will suit candidates who have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a Computer Science related subject with relevant work experience. It is important that you are able to work in high-pressured environments with excellent communications skills and have a keen interest in developing your technical skills with an excellent company who pride themselves on being at the forefront of technology.

Please note, this role requires day shift work including weekends and although not regularly, candidates will be expected to work night shifts for events.
