We currently have an exciting permanent opportunity available for a Studio Sound Engineer to join a leading independent audio-book publishing company based in the East Midlands. In this role, you will be responsible for the recording, post-production and mastering of audio-book publications, ensuring that all content meets company standard requirements.
As the Studio Sound Engineer you will support the Studio Manager in ensuring that studio production is completed to the highest of standards, safely set up and operate studio booths for recordings, maintain audio equipment and troubleshoot, investigate and resolve any issues that arise. Your role will also include implementing and testing new audio equipment and software and handling outgoing audio transfers to clients.
To be considered for this role, candidates must have worked within an audio recording and production environment with a thorough understanding of sound recording processes. Our client will also consider applicants who have recently studied an Audio Engineering related degree or equivalent who are proficient in sound recording software and have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication, organisational skills and both a technical and creative aptitude are fundamental to the role, with knowledge of Pro Tools being highly advantageous.
