Service Desk Technician required to join a leading broadcast company on a permanent basis, to support the first-class delivery of their technology services.

As a Service Desk Technician you will provide 1st line technical and operational support,  take full ownership of calls, incident tickets, service requests and fault alerts covering both IT and broadcast engineering issues across radio and TV facilities.

Playing a vital role in maintaining and improving the level of the service the company provides, you will identify faults, log all incident details accurately for reporting, categorise tickets in terms of impact and priority and manage these through to resolution and swift completion, making sure the correct escalation procedure is applied as necessary and the status of issues is tracked efficiently.

Alongside this, you will liaise closely with Presentation, Technology and Editing staff and carry out studio operations; for example, talk shows, complex link ups, band sessions and presentations.

Candidates will be highly client-facing, acting as the interface between the company and internal and external customers.  Candidates must possess a strong customer-focused service delivery ethos, and exceptional communication skills.

This position will see candidates being part of a shift-rota covering weekdays, and applicants must be flexible to work early morning and late evening shifts. Upon progression you will also become part of an on-call rota providing out of hours support for broadcast critical issues.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or candidates currently providing technical support looking to join an exciting and varied environment with a keen passion for the radio or television industry. Candidates will ideally be educated to A-level standard or similar in IT, Electronics or Broadcast Technology. Any additional knowledge of broadcast automation / playout systems would be advantageous.

If you feel this is the right role for you and if you are fully eligible to live and work in the UK without restrictions, then please apply now for immediate consideration.
