Excellent opportunity for a Senior Support Engineer to join a leading media technology solutions provider for broadcasting and post production organisations both in the UK and internationally.
The Senior Support Engineer will provide on-premise and cloud infrastructure support solutions and will need to have good support experience from 1st to 3rd line, storage, server hardware evaluation (loading appropriate drivers), network configuration and customer training. The engineer must be comfortable in a customer focussed role. This is not a high-volume ticketing position; you must leave each client feeling like they have had a first class tailored support experience!
The ideal candidate will have both Windows and Linux Admin experience, with knowledge of Virtualization, such as, Proxmox, Virtual Box, and how to export virtual machines to other environments. Some Active Directory, TCP/IP, Backups, DNS, SMTP, SAMBA and some knowledge of SAN/Storage.
The role will be very interesting and with the opportunity to travel to client sites (typically with TV broadcasters like BBC, Sky etc) and to trade shows both in the UK and internationally. This travel will only be approximately 10% of your time throughout the year, and may include new customer projects and rollouts, such as upgrade planning, delivery and reporting.
