Senior Network Engineer

A cutting-edge international broadcast organisation based in a great location in central London has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join its team. As Senior Network Engineer you will have responsibility for designing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining large scale enterprise LAN/WLAN/WAN networks.

In addition, you will be supporting their network security including firewalls, incident response and intrusion detection. As Senior Network Engineer you will also provide in-depth support to maintain the networking infrastructure including monitoring, daily health checks and identifying network trends and abnormalities ensuring preventive steps are taken to ensure there are no impacts to the networks and wider business.

To be considered for Senior Network Engineer, our client is looking for candidates with a degree or equivalent in a Computer Science or a related field. Strong Cisco experience to CCNA/CCNP level is essential as is experience in LAN/WAN and network security including firewalls. You will also need to be experienced with Cisco IP Telephony, wireless systems, network traffic analysis, QOS, VoIP and converged networks. Intermediate experience in Layer 2 (STP/RSTP/VSS) and Layer 3, gateway load balancing protocols (VRRP/HSRP) and routing protocols (OSFP/BGP) is also important as is firewall design and maintenance.

Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, remote access VPNs and Intrusion Protection systems would be advantageous as would knowledge of working in an ITIL environment.

This is a Monday-Friday role, based in a fantastic facility in the heart of London within a friendly, close-knit team.
