A Senior Audio Engineer is required to join a leading research focused company based in Central London. The company have expanded rapidly in all aspects of their business over recent years and this new role will join a small, specialist team responsible for the design, development and support of world class content production facilities.
Working across systems design, project engineering and support you will work closely with internal stakeholders to help define and deliver their audio related requirements whilst acting as a point of escalation for any issues and ensuring maximum uptime of systems. You will manage site upgrades, support the wider business on ad-hoc requirements as and when they arise and ensure documentation is continually up to date and correct. You will also undertake research projects focused around cutting edge IP video and audio technologies making recommendations on where this can be utilised within the business.
To be considered for this role you should have a proven background in audio engineering with excellent understanding and practical experience of IP audio technologies including Dante and AES67.
A good knowledge of IP networks and how they relate to audio systems is also important as well as knowledge of audio technology workflows and DSP signal flow and design. Experience working on a range of audio related technology projects from initial requirements gathering through to design and delivery is important as is experience of AutoCAD.
In addition to strong technical skills, you should be an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate complex technologies to non-technical audiences whilst having a real interest in new technologies and the drive to learn new skills and pass on knowledge.
