A fantastic opportunity for a Media Planner to join a leading, international broadcast organisation based in London, on an initial 7-month contract basis.
As a Media Planner, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating and evaluating the on-air promotional activity for a flagship UK television channel, in line with the programming and marketing aims of the business.
As a Media Planner, your duties will include translating the network media plan into individual channel media plans, creating effective, strategically sound continuity plans, scheduling promotions using internal optimisation tools (GRIPit), liaising with the on-air team throughout the production process and monitoring campaign performance on a weekly basis. You will also be required to review channel output, offering editorial insights and observations, creating post-campaign research reports and creating promo make-lists.
To be considered for this role, candidates will have previous experience of working as either a Presentation Scheduler or a Junior Media Planner and be looking to take the next step up in their career. You must have an appreciation for creative issues and an understanding of the editorial and presentation requirements of a schedule. It is also essential that applicants have an aptitude for strategic thinking and numerical analysis, as well as good experience working with Excel spreadsheets.
