MCR Operator

An MCR Operator is required to join a leading broadcast distribution company on a permanent basis. Working within their NOC, you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting playout, encoding, contribution services, multiplex and transmission systems.

As MCR Operator you will monitor multiple channels at any one time to ensure their on-air presence, providing first line fault diagnosis to broadcast systems and escalating issues to appropriate suppliers where necessary. As part of this role you will be required to log any issues / incidents, QC as well as add and edit material into playlists and check ongoing schedules.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for applicants that have a good grounding in computing with an understanding of networking and operating systems. An interest or previous experience in broadcast systems from a technical perspective is required, so candidates with a broadcast technology / broadcast engineering related degree or equivalent can be considered. Previous commercial experience in Broadcast, Master Control Room (MCR) or Playout is extremely advantageous however full training will be provided to the right applicant.

Please note, this is a shift-based role covering weekends and nights.
