We have an excellent permanent opportunity for an MCR Operator to join a leading broadcast services company based in Buckinghamshire.
As MCR Operator, you will be responsible for quality checking the integrity of all incoming and outgoing video and audio signals and monitoring the performance of operational systems.
An important part of this role will involve communicating and escalating faults swiftly, booking lines and feeds for occasional use services when necessary, undertaking routine testing and maintenance of transmission equipment and operating Master Control switchers.
You will also be responsible for providing technical advice and assistance across studios, lines and live operations and coordinating services with customers, satellite operators and 3rd party providers.
To be considered for this role, candidates will ideally be able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a Teleport or Master Control Room environment. Those with a recent degree or equivalent in a Broadcast Media Technology related subject or Electronic Engineering will also be considered.
Any knowledge in RF, uplink, multiplex, encoding and conditional access systems, video routers, talkback units, video monitoring and booking systems would also be highly advantageous.
This is a shift-based role working on a rota of 12-hour shifts including early starts and weekends. There are currently no night shifts but this may be subject to change in the future.
