Excellent opportunity for multiple experienced MCR Operators to join a leading broadcaster based in London on an initial 6-month contract.

As MCR Operator you will be a pivotal team member involved in the day-to-day MCR and Ingest operation and will be responsible for satellite downlinking, managing IP routing and preparing feeds for transmission, ensuring the smooth delivery of all transmitted content via fibre and satellite. 

You will be responsible for lining up video and configuration of incoming audio, liaising with 3rd party suppliers and troubleshooting and escalating issues. You must also ingest file-based content from various sources such as ENG crews and OB and also QC content to meet industry standards. 

Managing quick turnaround times of live events, it is essential that you can work well under pressure in a live transmission and production environment as well as knowledge on MCR technology, ingest and QC workflows. In addition, an understanding of file formats, file transfers and asset management, with emphasis on live sport production would be highly advantageous. 

It is vital that you have exceptional attention to detail and are self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and work calmly under pressure within a busy live broadcast environment. 

These positions will be working as part of a shift rota within a 24/7 broadcast environment, which will include nights, weekends and public holiday.
