A leading broadcast services provider is currently recruiting for an MCR Engineer on a permanent basis.
As an MCR Engineer, you will be responsible for providing operational and first line maintenance to digital video services, data services and various ad-hoc services they provide. You will be required to set up baseband and RF equipment, carry out first level fault finding on digital video services, RF Systems and antenna control systems as well as confidently deal with clients and suppliers by various forms of communication. Other duties will include dataminer administration and operation, creating and updating documentation and tickets when required.
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must have either worked in a similar engineering role within an MCR or a broadcast environment with knowledge of DVB standards and SDI video test equipment. Those with a recent broadcast engineering related degree or equivalent will also be considered and training will be provided.
Ideally you will need to understand satellite uplinking and downlinking and have knowledge of various testing equipment including spectrum analysers and waveform monitors. Knowledge of IP would also be highly advantageous.
Please note, this is a shift-based role covering weekends and nights.
