An IT Infrastructure Engineer is required to join a cutting-edge broadcast facility on a permanent basis.
As IT Infrastructure Engineer you will responsible for monitoring and resolving problems relating to their IT systems whilst also being involved in projects to upgrade and improve their infrastructure.
With an enthusiastic and dynamic attitude, you will be a 3rd line escalation point for the support team, sharing your technical knowledge and working to ensure all issues are resolved to set SLA's. You will be responsible for producing system documentation, devising innovative ways to achieve the need of each broadcast production and liaising with 3rd party support providers to ensure timely resolutions and enhance system performance.
As part of the role you will also lead the IT team in the Broadcast IT Manager's absence therefore it is important you have good communication skills and show the desire to lead or have demonstrable previous experience.
To be considered, you will need to be experienced in the implementation, configuration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, OS patching, TCP/IP networking, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP. Experience of VMWare cluster management is also needed along with knowledge of backup and restore software such as Altaro. In addition, knowledge of storage systems and SAN architectures would be highly beneficial.
