We are currently working with a leading technology company, that develops cutting-edge video solutions, to recruit a permanent Infrastructure Engineer to its London based team.

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will be tasked with taking ownership of the company's internal technical infrastructure, ensuring the baseband video and IT systems meet the needs of the business at all times. You will be responsible for supporting the company's server room, configuring video and specialist IT equipment, installing cabling, computer and broadcast equipment and ensure all faults are rectified as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Your additional responsibilities will include pro-actively supporting the work of the development and pre-sales teams, delivering video and other systems as needed   and researching new and emerging technologies, making recommendations to senior management on technical procurement.

Applicants should be educated to degree level or equivalent in an IT or broadcast related subject, with proven experience of working with baseband video (i.e. SDI) and an understanding of the configuration of IT networks including subnets, gateways etc. A good familiarity with Linux operating systems is also important, with any knowledge of virtualisation, cloud computing and Python (or other scripting languages) an advantage.

Strong fault finding skills are essential as is the willingness to work flexible working hours when needed to meet the needs of the business.
