An industry leader in sports media technology has a newly created vacancy for a Head of Event Operations to become part of its growing team. This is an opportune moment to join this front runner in the provision of technical solutions for the monetisation of live sporting events, as they prepare to expand their service offerings into new European and international territories.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the success of deployments during live events. As the Head of Event Operations, you will also manage a small team of permanent operational staff and a larger pool of freelancers and will allocate crew according to the event requirements and challenges. You will also provide detailed cost estimates for events and have an excellent understanding of the technologies involved for all productions. A key aspect of this role is working closely with partners and third parties, so you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as diplomacy and tact when required.
To be considered you must have previously worked on live outside broadcast events across multiple sports in either a production, engineering or project management capacity and will have previously managed teams. You must also be prepared to travel in the UK, Europe and the USA, sometimes at short notice. For this opportunity we are looking for someone who will bring new ideas and suggestions for improvement to the business, as well as the ability to quickly grasp the innovative, bespoke and emerging technologies that this organisation offers. Any previous knowledge / exposure to augmented reality would be highly advantageous.
