A global broadcast product manufacturer currently has an exciting permanent opportunity available for a Customer Support Engineer, to join its team based in Cambridgeshire, supporting clients worldwide across a range of software products and solutions.
Working as part of a close-knit and responsive Customer Service team, you will provide first line technical support and operational guidance to customers via telephone and email, logging and tracking calls using a CRM system and liaising with the Development team to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.
Following sufficient training, you will provide out of hours telephone support for customers and also visit client sites as and when necessary to help diagnose ongoing issues, install and commission new systems and deliver customer product training.
Candidates will ideally have a HND qualification or higher in Electronics or Computing or a similar subject or have equivalent experience of working in a similar technical customer support role within IT infrastructure or the Broadcast sector.
You will have good technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, IT servers and networking technologies (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP). Any additional experience of broadcast playout / automation technology, workflow, system configuration, cloud, virtualisation, IP, scripting or software programming would be highly advantageous, along with fluency in a second language such as French, Spanish or German.
This position requires excellent fault diagnosis, problem solving, customer facing, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and a flexible approach to working hours and travelling worldwide.
