A leading multinational broadcast company requires a Broadcast Systems Support Engineer to join their support team at a 24/7 live broadcaster in London.
As Broadcast Systems Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line engineering support across all areas of the facility including live studios, transmission, post production and file based workflows. Day to day duties will focus on maintaining a wide range of specialist broadcast and IT equipment including conducting routine checks, fault finding and confidently prioritising the urgency of each fault or problem as they occur. Additionally, you could also be involved in project work as and when required.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate strong technical skills with a wide range of broadcast equipment and technologies including ideally some or all of the following; Avid iNews, Media Central and PAM, broadcast graphics, transcoding, DivArchive Tape library, central storage, multiviewers, video mixers, cameras and talkback systems. Excellent fault-finding skills are also essential, as is the drive to take ownership of faults, ensuring the root cause of issues is identified and resolved. Additionally, good IT skills with ideally some exposure to networking would be highly beneficial.
Please note this is a shift-based role that does include earlies, late's and nights.
