A Broadcast Playout Systems Engineer is required for a leading broadcast services company based in the Netherlands on an initial 7-12 month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent appointment.
As Broadcast Playout Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and design of the company's playout system where your duties will include the configuration, management and monitoring of automation systems. In addition to this, you will be required to integrate playout systems with other technologies such as MAM and will act as the key point of contact between R&D and designed solutions.
You will also be required to build and support new systems and ensure that delivery standards are met by overseeing the delivery of external suppliers and contractors.
To be considered for this role, our client requires a technically minded Broadcast Engineer with strong knowledge of playout automation systems and broadcast technologies such as SMPTE 2022 and AES-67. It is key that you can demonstrate experience in maintaining complex digital video/audio systems, video routing and switching and have good ability to resolve IT and application issues.
Knowledge with video servers such as EVS or Harmonic Spectrum X is also important.
