Broadcast IP Engineer

A talented and driven Broadcast IP Engineer is required to join an international and globally recognised broadcast media organisation based in Madrid, Spain on a fixed term contract, from September 2019 to September 2020. 

As Broadcast IP Engineer you will be is responsible for ensuring correct implementation and deployment of the broadcast infrastructure, collaboratively and as part of a larger team. This candidate will be a key part of management of key technical documentation for the network implementation, being responsible for network diagrams, cable lists and rack layouts. They will also be responsible for the smooth, fault free running of the IP network, fixing infrastructure failures should they occur.

The ideal candidate will come from a background in supporting, implementing and running IP networks. They will have the knowledge of how to implement traffic management into different network elements to provide custom, user/format specific broadcasts. They will also have a strong background in deployment and monitoring of multicast services, deep understanding of PIM and IGP.

Technically the candidate will have experience in software defined networks, and ideally experience in Openflow, DNA, OVN. Protocols for media distribution are an essential too. (HLS, RTMP)

This role is based in Madrid, Spain and is open to either a permanent fixed term contract or on a freelance basis.
