Broadcast Equipment Prep Engineer

A Preparation Engineer is required to join a leading broadcast equipment hire company based in the South East of England, on a permanent basis.

As Preparation Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing, installing and ensuring that broadcast equipment is fully operational for a wide variety of clients whilst adhering to given deadlines and requirements. Your duties will also include preparing stock for customers and ensuring equipment is fully configured, maintaining equipment within the dry hire department and assisting with other engineering teams when required.

It is essential that you have a thorough understanding of the company's inventory to be able to provide advice on the best fit solutions for projects and that you can use the booking system effectively to keep all departments updated.

To be considered for this role, candidates will ideally have worked in outside broadcast or equipment hire, with a strong working knowledge of broadcast equipment such as cameras, lenses and audio equipment and a good understanding of OB systems. Candidates with relevant academic qualifications in Broadcast Engineering or Technology and similar will also be considered.

A flexible work approach is essential as you will be required to work various day shifts and will be 'on call' occasionally at weekends. There will also be some potential travel across the UK and overseas.
