A great opportunity for a Broadcast Engineer to join a London based broadcast studios facility on a permanent basis.
As Broadcast Engineer you will work as part of a small team who are responsible for supporting a range of broadcast systems and equipment, including two live studios, editing and post production suites, playout, and the IT and network infrastructure, rectifying any technical issues as quickly and efficiently as possible ensuring broadcast output isn't affected whilst providing a high level of service to the facilities clients.
In addition, you will work on the installation and testing of new systems and equipment, preparing RFPs and RFQs for vendors and setting up and operating post production suites and transmission links when needed.
To be considered for this role applicants should have a background in broadcast engineering ideally with experience in a live broadcast studios environment. An excellent understanding of modern broadcast standards is essential as is exposure to a range of broadcast equipment and systems including a working knowledge of Avid systems including iNews, Interplay, News Cutter and VizRT graphics systems, Viz engines, Artisit and AR. A solid understanding of IT and networking is also important with any experience of file-based encoding and delivery systems such as Telestream Vantage and Content Agent being highly beneficial, as would experience with AutoCAD and/or Visio.
This is a shift-based role which will include some weekend working but no night shifts so a flexible approach is essential.
