A leading broadcast facility, based in West London, has a fantastic permanent opportunity available for a Broadcast Engineer to provide technical support across television studios, post production suites, playout and MCR operations.
As a Broadcast Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining, modifying and operating a wide range of broadcast equipment, including sound, lighting, cameras, vision mixers and EVS systems (XT, IP Director), ensuring all faults are resolved quickly and innovative work-arounds are devised to meet requirements. Working alongside project management and production teams, you will also have the opportunity to get involved in modification and small-scale refurbishment projects.
To be considered for this role, candidates will ideally have a degree or similar qualification in a broadcast engineering related subject, or equivalent experience as a Broadcast Engineer, gained in a similar studio environment. You will have strong knowledge across vision, sound, routers, servers, non-linear editing systems, file-based technologies and IT networking infrastructure and have the ability to critically assess television pictures and waveforms.
A positive attitude, exceptional client-facing and interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and work efficiently under pressure are essential.
This is a shift-based position involving late evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, therefore a flexible approach is required.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader and work in a cutting-edge broadcast technology environment, offering a very generous salary and benefits package.
