A great permanent opportunity for a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join the technical engineering team of a leading broadcast software provider, on-site at a major broadcaster in London, and be responsible for the day-to-day support of one of its cutting-edge solutions.
As 3rd Line Support Engineer you will be involved in the implementation of complex broadcast workflows to ensure that the service is delivered to agreed SLAs, providing in-depth maintenance and support to the solutions and escalating to 4th line where necessary. A key part of your role will be to liaise with clients, taking full ownership of issues and administering virtual servers.
To be considered for this role, our client is looking for candidates that ideally have exposure to working within a live broadcasting operation, with experience of supporting production applications in an enterprise Microsoft Windows environment. Key skills in the following: MS Server 2012 R2, Hyper V / VMWare, Active Directory - Group Policy, PowerShell, MS SQL or Oracle are essential, with knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management processes being highly advantageous.
Please note this is a shift-based role which provides on-site support 7 days per week and you will work a combination of 8am-8pm, 11am-11pm and 9am-5pm, there will also be an element of on-call.
